Easter
March 21, 2008 by Thomas Munkholt
I was fascinated by a series of photos (from Danish newspaper, Politiken) that I want to share: These are Spanish Catholic lodges (no Masonic relation), who celebrate Easter in a Good Friday procession wearing hooded robes and carrying candles. The sample below is from Zamora in Northern Spain, where the members of Santisimo Cristo de las Injurias are preparing.

Happy Easter.

Last night I attended the Maundy Thursday/Passover celebration of the Order of the Rose-Croix at the Baltimore Scottish Rite Center.
It was a public ceremony, so I don’t think I’m giving anything away by saying it was very different, particularly in regalia. Much of the same sort (sans hoods) as you see in the pictures shown above, at least to the uninitiated eye.
